Search Engines Everything that we might ever wonder about can be found in search engines. They are more than an encyclopedia of the 21st century. Search engines help us find what we want in the World Wide Web. The engines can look for definitions, recipes, news and even tutorials about practically anything. There is quite a number of search engines, most notably Google and Yahoo. These two search engines are the most popular and have the largest databases. Google has even become a legitimate verb. “To Google” is a verb to describe “using a search engine”. Yet these two are not the only search engines out there.
Goodsearch.com – This search engine is unique in that it donates 50% of its revenue, about a penny per search, to listed American charities and schools designated by its users.
